Where Nobility Once Settled.
Castles, Churches & Historical Heritage.
Thoughout history, the sunny plateau of Tesimo has been revered for its mild spring, refreshing summer breezes, and vibrant autumn climate. Settled since prehistoric times and later inhabited by the Romans, these villages have long served as summer retreats and hiking hubs for nobility and the bourgeoisie since the Middle Ages. Today, remnants of this noble heritage endure: former summer residences, castles, noble estates, as well as ancient churches, mountain chapels, and historic sites stand as testament to this rich legacy.
